As expected, Xiaomi Malaysia has introduced the Xiaomi Mi Note in Malaysia which is the flagship that many has been waiting for and we are extremely thrilled to find out that Xiaomi has made the 64GB model available for Mi Fans to purchase here at the price of RM1,549, which makes it one of the most competitively priced flagship in the market

Despite not being the Pro variant of the Mi Note, the phone still packs a trusty Snapdragon 801 2.5GHz quad-core processor which still delivers great performance and power efficiency these days, the phone has 3GB of RAM, a 5.7-inch Full HD display that packs Xiaomi’s Sunlight Display technology which enables better visibility under glaring sunlight with up to 30% of power savings, and a 3000mAh battery.

While the Mi Note’s performance internals isn’t any different than the Mi 4, Xiaomi has added a dedicated audio chip and amplifier into the phone that claims to delivers significant audio quality improvements from its previous devices, the Mi Note will also support Hi-Res audio files such as APE, FLAC, DSD and WAV and plays back at 24bit/192KHz, which plays up to some high resolution audio players out there. In addition, the Mi Note has been famous for its flat optical image stabilisation camera module, in which the company has filed a patent for this technology, the phone has a 13-megapixel f/2.0 Sony IMX214 main camera and a front 4-megapixel that takes brilliant low light selfies thanks to its huge 2 micron pixel.

While I used to vent my frustration with the Mi Note during its announcement last time, the fact that Xiaomi has decided to make the 64GB model of the Mi Note here has made a slight change in my perception on recommending its latest flagship. We’ve gotten ourselves a review unit of the phone, so stay tuned to our first impressions coming up in the next piece. The Xiaomi Mi Note will go on sale at July 28th over at www.mi.com/my and is also available as a contract device over at major telcos in Malaysia.
