Previously, we show off the upcoming EVGA Z170 chipset motherboard and today we have the latest MSI Z170 chipset motherboard. MSI has four new motherboards: the Z170A Gaming M5, the Z170A Gaming M7, the Z170A Gaming M9 ACK and the Z170 Krait. We get to know some of the details about the boards, but we still cannot get into the specifics of the Intel chipset that they pack.

Some of the motherboards features a dual USB 3.1 connectors, one will be a Type-A connector and another one will be a Type-C connector. Besides that, there will be MSI’s Gaming LAN which is a dedicated port equipped with so-called “LAN Protect that capable withstand a 15 KV blast. For the storage, MSI’s decided to remove the SATA Express because it doesn’t have much of a purpose at this point. Therefore, they included the PCI-Express lanes that would otherwise be used for the SATA Express ports to make a second Turbo M.2 slot.

Subsequently, MSI also includes a top-tier motherboard on their new line-up – the M9 ACK which pack with Reactive Amor that makes the motherboard more rigid, and it looks similar with the ASUS Sabertooth motherboard. This top tier motherboard also comes with the ACK connectivity that has a Killer 1535 Wireless AC networking adapter that can work in tandem with a Killer Gigabit Ethernet adapter. Moreover, the motherboard also comes with MSI’s “Game Boost” technology, which on this board comes in the form of a dial, which you simply need to turn in order to overclock your processor.

We still await the official announcement from MSI themselves for the final spec list that will unveil the potential of the motherboard.
