Mi Malaysia has finally brought in the long awaited Redmi 2 Enhanced, which was announced shortly after the original Redmi 2’s launch in China following by user’s feedback for a better speced smartphone, we ranted about Xiaomi merely producing a paltry update for its new entry level handset back then and its considerably late that the company brought in its enhanced version of the Redmi 2.

The Redmi 2 is the first smartphone to go on sale with a 64-bit Snapdragon 410 quad-core SoC, the phone has an OGS Dragontrail glass 4.7-inch HD resolution display, 8-megapixel main and 2-megapixel front cameras, dual SIM 4G LTE support and a 2200mAh battery. The enhanced version of the phone should bring significant improvements in the user experience since the current model isn’t able to do much, in our review we complained about the painful software experience due to its paltry 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage with limited expansion features.

The Redmi 2 will thankfully retail at the same price tag as the current model at RM459 and as usual, Xiaomi will sell the phone on its online store at mi.com/my on 16th July 2015, 2PM.
