Rumor time is over! Apple has finally announced the iPhone SE, the alleged successor to the iPhone 5S in its keynote at Cupertino, California.

Firs and foremost, the obvious 4-inch screen on the small form factor of the iPhone. Instead of the rumored A8 chip, the iPhone SE surprisingly runs on the A9 processor, the same one powering the flagship iPhone 6S. Running alongside it is the M9 motion processor. Dubbed the most powerful 4-inch phone ever, Apple claims the iPhone SE to have incredible battery improvements across the board. The 4-inch handset also sports a 12MP iSight rear facing camera, capable of recording 4K video and Apple’s own Live Photos.

Apple boasts the sale of 30 million 4-inch iPhone’s last year, claiming that 4-inch iPhone’s are mostly a consumer’s first smart phone, or a first iOS device after switching from Android. The iPhone SE will be available in more than a hundred countries by the end of May. It comes in two storage options, a 16GB variant at $399 (RM1610.94) and a 64GB variant at $499 (RM2014.69). What do you think?
