We have more news for you, live from Apple’s keynote at Cupertino, California. Apple has announced the iPad Pro, which is rather confusing since the Cupertino company now has two iPad Pro’s of different sizes. Introducing, a 9.7-inch model of the iPad Pro, which isn’t a successor to the 12.9-inch model launched last year, but rather, an addition to the iPad Pro family.

Apple claims over 200 million 9.7-inch iPad’s sold, making that form factor the most popular among iPad’s. Weighing at less than a pound, the iPad Pro’s 9.7 inch display is 40 percent less reflective than the iPad Air 2. Apple also claims it to be the brightest tablet available and it sports a True Tone display which will measure the screen’s color temperature and tweaks it according to ambient light.

Running under the hood is Apple’s A9X chip. Just as rumored, the iPad Pro sports four speakers and also supports Apple’s accessories like the Apple Pencil. In addition to that, a Smart Keyboard tailored for the 9.7-inch tablet. Schiller from Apple states that customers love taking photos with their iPad, hence the 12MP iSight Camera, like the one found on the newly announced iPhone SE.

The 9.7-inch iPad Pro will have three storage options available – 32GB at $599 (RM2418.43), 128GB at $749 (RM3024.05) and a whopping 256GB model at $899 (RM3629.67). Orders for the iPad Pro will begin on March 24 and will go on sale on March 31. What do you think of this smaller iPad Pro? Let us know your thoughts!
