Later today, you’ll be able to use the PlayStation 4’s Remote Play feature on your PC as Sony will be releasing system software update version 3.50 today.

Codenamed MUSASHI, the 3.50 update would allow you to stream your PlayStation 4 onto either a Windows PC or a Mac. When the update goes live, you’re going to need to download the Remote Play Installer here, plug your DualShock 4 controller into your PC/Mac via USB cable, select your resolution and frame rate options depending on your internet bandwidth, and you can officially say that you’re playing Bloodborne on the PC. Remote Play will be compatible with PCs that run on Windows 8.1 or later. For Macs, you need to be running on OS X 10.10 or later.

Besides Remote Play, the 3.50 update will be bringing new social features to the PS4. One long awaited feature is to set your profile to appear offline, which is useful if you would like to use your PS4 without anyone knowing about it. Friend Online Notification has also been introduced to the PS4, allowing you to be notified whenever your friend comes online.

Setting up playdates has also become easier as well as the 3.50 update would allow you to schedule gameplay sessions. Accessible via the Events tab, users can now choose to create an event and invite others to the upcoming gameplay session. This would also work with groups and communities that you’re a member of.

Lastly, the PS4 will be getting the Play Together feature which allows you to jump into the game that your friends are currently playing.
