Most OEM’s are still trying to keep up with the annual release of a new Android version of its operating system. Time flew by and we’re now awaiting the official release of Android N by Google, while OEM’s have been busy rolling out Android Marshmallow updates, covering as many devices as they can before version 6.0 ages away.

Despite the struggle, small-time American company InFocus has manage to get Android Marshmallow running on a super budget smartphone, turning it into what may seem like the cheapest handset powered by the current version of Android. Introducing the InFocus Bingo 10, which features slightly poor specs by today’s standards.

On the display side of things, the InFocus Bingo 10 sports a lowly 4.5-inch 854×480 resolution screen with a density of 217 ppi. Under the hood lies a quad-core MediaTek MT6580M SoC clocked at 1.3GHz, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and a 2,000mAh battery. The budget device features a rear camera and selfie camera of 5MP each. Its front facing shooter might just fare better than the 1.2MP selfie cam on the newly announced iPhone SE!

As mentioned earlier, the InFocus Bingo 10 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, which means it will come with Marshmallow features such as Google Now on Tap and Doze Mode. And its price? Rs. 4,299 (RM257.14) on Snapdeal’s online store. Seems like a heck of a good deal although you’re getting a smartphone with lower than sub-par specs. But for that price point, a play-toy smartphone, maybe? What do you think?
