HTC is set to reveal its upcoming flagship smartphone a little over two weeks from now on April 12. This time however, the Taiwanese OEM will be unveiling the handset in a virtual event that is said to be only available online, meaning that everyone of us might just be getting the same experience of the smartphone’s launch, via a screen or maybe a VR headset.

Last year, OnePlus launched the OnePlus Two in a rather unconventional yet creative way, via virtual reality, claiming it to be the world’s first product launch in VR, and it seems that HTC will be heading that direction to launch the rumored “M10”. The M10 is tipped to pack a Snapdragon 820 underneath with 4GB of RAM, a 5.2-inch QHD display, the same 12MP camera like on the Nexus 6P and a 5MP selfie shooter.

So far, HTC has only revealed the specifc date and time of the launch, which will be at 8pm Malaysian time. Further details have yet to be disclosed by the company, Who knows? They’ll probably rollout an app specifically for the launch, like what OnePlus did for the OnePlus Two. Till then, stay tuned!
