It isn’t leaked specs this time, but a leaked launch date. It turns out that Samsung might just be releasing the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge on the day before MWC (Mobile World Congress) at Barcelona.
While this isn’t as much of a surprise, two images, courtesy of Evan Blass’ Twitter seem like images of a press invite from the Korean OEM itself. One image shows the hashtag #TheNextGalaxy and the other clearly shows the launch date, which is Febuary 21 2016.
The source also claims that the devices will be released on March 11, nearly a month earlier than last year’s release of the S6 and S6 Edge.
Not too long ago we have received rumors that Samsung will be launching three flagship devices instead of the originally planned four. The S7 Edge is tipped to sport a 5.5 inch screen. hence the omission of the S7 Edge+.
