You might think that it’s an easy one to guess, but no, Facebook isn’t the most used Android app last quarter in 2015. Neither is Whatsapp, Instagram and Twitter.
What is it then? It is a cleaner app, and chances are that you’ve heard of it before. It is the well known Clean Master app by Cheetah Mobile.
According to the report by Drawbridge, the results came from the analysis of in-app requests with Clean Master triumphing over the rest in October, November and December. CM Security, also by Cheetah Mobile took second place.
Do these results mean that Android users are constantly cleaning up junk and keeping their devices secure?
On the iOS front however, video call and chat app Tango stands at the top of the rankings, with the still popular Words with Friends in second place, but no cleaning app in sight. This of course, doesn’t come as a big surprise as iOS is known to be more secure and Android is known to be the more customizable operating system. Thoughts?
