An iPad Air 3 case design has been leaked on Chinese site 1688.com, showing us a few differences as an upgrade from 2014’s iPad Air 2, with additional speakers, an LED flash and what seems like a Smart Connector.

The case designs appear to have cut outs for four speakers, two grilles each on the top and the bottom of the alleged tablet by Apple and another cut out to make space for the device’s LED flash below its rear facing camera.

The case design also appears to have another cut out on the left side which is most likely dedicated for am Smart Connector, a port newly introduced together with the iPad Pro last year. The Smart Connector is used as a docking port to power accessories like the keyboard for the iPad Pro as demonstrated by Apple.

Other cut outs in the case design appear to be no different than that of the iPad Air 2, with the volume rocker buttons and power button cut outs at the same postions. This also includes the rest of the cut outs, namely the lighting port, the microphone beside the rear facing camera and the 3.5mm headphone jack.

The iPad Air 3 is tipped to make an appearance this year after Apple decided not to update its Air line last year.
