A couple of months back we’ve seen Samsung announced a series of its enterprise grade MFP (multi-function printer) that runs on Android, which we believe many of our readers were really interested on its arrival locally and details, the company has finally made its MultiXpress Android powered copiers available in Malaysia ranging from a price of RM6,499 up to RM47,500.
Available in nine models, the MultiXpress MX4 series MFP will introduce business users a new way to print and scan documents in the office, since the printers run on the Android operating system, not only users will be able to adapt to the product easily with the familiar user interface but they can also print pictures and webpages on it.
For businesses who have security concerns, Samsung has removed Google Play services from the software itself and only an authorized user will be able to perform secure app installation on the printer, should business customers need to expand the features of the MX4, Samsung does offer customization with its XOA (eXtensible Open Architecture) printing solution platform.
The MX4 series printers will support both WiFi and NFC printing, and what truly amaze us is the printer’s ability to convert scanned documents into PDF on-the-fly, saved on your smartphone and allows you to share it to any compatible apps, such as sending an e-mail or sharing it on to cloud storage. The Samsung MX4 series companion app is available to download for Android and iOS devices.
Powering the new MX4 printers are a dual-core 1GHz processor mated to DDR3 RAMs which is aimed to handle multiple print requests and the printers now have longer lasting toner and drum technologies when compared to similar products in the market.
The Samsung MX4 Android powered printers will come in the X4300 series and K4350 series A3 models, M5370 series and M4580 series A4 models and its suggested retail price is inclusive of GST as shown below
