Normally, system software updates aren’t exactly the most exciting thing. However, Sony’s next software update for its PlayStation 4, version 3.50 (codenamed MUSASHI) has some very interesting features.

In a post made on the PlayStation Blog, Sony states that version 3.50 of the PlayStation software would support Remote Play on both the Windows PC and Mac. While this feature will not be enabled during the version 3.50’s Beta test that begin tomorrow, Sony has said that the feature would be available soon.

Aside from Remote Play, PS4 software version 3.50 will come with social features that many have requested since the console was first released. Sony will be bringing back the friend online notification option for the PlayStation 4. If you would like to play with your friends, Sony has made it easier as the new software would allow you to schedule gameplay sessions with your friends on the system. It will also have a Play Together feature that allows all members of a Party to see what each person is playing, allowing them to join a friend’s game almost instantly. Feeling antisocial? You can now set your profile to appear offline, allowing you to play your game in peace.

Lastly, you’ll be able to stream your games to Dailymotion once the update goes live. Much like other streaming services, Sony will also support archiving live broadcasts on Dailymotion.
