Finally, after a long time awaiting, the new Nintendo 3DS is coming to America on September 25, 2015. At the GameStop Managers Conference in Las Vegas, Nintendo announced its new 3DS will be part of a special bundle, which includes the new handheld, the upcoming Animal Crossings: Happy Home Designer game, two cover plates and one amiibo card at a suggested retail price of $219.99.

Now, not only will Nintendo be launching the new 3DS with Animal Crossings bundle, you will also be seeing a new Hyrule Edition New Nintendo 3DS XL system, which is gold in colour and feature a Hylian Crest on the front. This will be exclusively sold at GameStop stores on October 30, 2015 at a SRP of $199.90. The launch of the handheld will coincide with the game launch of The Legends of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes on October 23. Unfortunately, Nintendo did not bundle the 3DS XL with that game, so you would have to buy them separately.

The new Nintendo 3DS will incorporate the same features as the new Nintendo 3DS XL, which includes features such as a wider range of controls, face-tracking 3D and built-in NFC functionality. The NFC functions allows you to communicate with amiibo figures, which is why you would get amiibo cards in the Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer bundle. By tapping on the cars, you can meet your favourite Animal Crossing characters and their separate personalities and design requests in the game.

Both of these new handhelds also features interchangeable cover plates that can be easily swapped out to change the look of the device, and when you purchase the Animal Crossing bundle, two cover plates inspired by the game will be included as well.

Next question is, when will these be available to those in Southeast Asia, especially here in Malaysia?
