Not too long ago at MWC, LG unveiled two new smartphones, which are part of their new X lineup. Known as specialist smartphones, the X lineup feature mid range specs, however packed with one high-end or flagship-like element in each handset. Today, LG has announced that it will start rolling out the LG X cam and the LG X screen worldwide, beginning with LG’s own home country, South Korea.

The LG X cam features a 5.2 inch 1080p IPS LCD display, an octa-core CPU clocked at 1.14GHz, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage and a 2,520mAh battery. Its specialty, as the name states, lies within its camera. The LG X cam sports a dual rear camera setup, a 13MP shooter alongside a 5MP wide angle lens camera, together with an impressive 8MP selfie shooter on the front.

The LG X screen on the other hand is powered by a 1.2GHz clocked quad-core processor, also sporting similar specs, such as its RAM and internal storage, with a smaller battery of 2,300mAh. It sports a 13MP rear camera and a 8MP front facing camera. The display of the LG X screen is similar to the one on last year’s LG V10, featuring a dual screen setup comprising of a 4.93 inch 720p display and a tiny 1.76 inch 520×80 always on display above the main screen.

Prices for both handsets have yet to be announced. LG is rumored to bring new additions to its X series later this year, which will include devices titled the X max, X speed, X power and X style.
