It is well known that Samsung’s flagship devices are always on the forefront in terms of specs. But whenever it comes to battery life, they only produce sub par to barely on par performances which continue to disappoint fans every year. However, a claim from a popular leak spokesperson suggests that the upcoming Galaxy S7 will have insane battery life.
According to Eldar Murtazin on his Twitter feed, he claims that the Galaxy S7 is able to bring out 17+ hours of video playback on full brightness. Considering the fact that 5 hours of on screen time is impressive on the S6, this claim is a near impossible feat for the S7.
Earlier rumors have suggested a bump in the battery capacity to 3000mAh, but that still seems quite a far fetch to the claim mentioned earlier. Based on simple calculations, a 450mAh increase in battery capacity won’t get you as much as 17 hours of video playback on full brightness on a Super AMOLED QHD display.
If the above claims are accurate, the S7 might just be the phone which is the nearest to achieving perfection by consumer standards. We’re counting down to MWC so stay tuned with us!
