First of all, ASUS Malaysia has succeeded in overtaking Sony and Apple in the Malaysian market by holding the third place for selling 400,000 Zenfones since its launch. ASUS has been extremely active in innovating its products and aims to be the most preferred Android device manufacturer by consumers, which is why the company simply can’t wait and wants to bring in their best products for the Malaysian market.

The MEMO Pad 8 is a very high performance tablet, powered by Intel’s Atom Z3560 1.8GHz 64-bit Quad-Core processor mated with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable with MicroSD), the tablet also features an 8-inch Full HD (1920×1200) IPS display with Gorilla Glass 3 and an ultra slim form factor at only 7.45mm and weighs 299g, making it one of the slimmest and powerful 8-inch Android tablets out in the market. The MEMO Pad 8 has 5MP/1.2MP cameras, up to 9 hours of continuous battery life, WiFi 802.11ac, LTE and NFC connectivity, it comes preloaded with Android 4.4 KitKat with ZenUI.

One interesting fact to note, the MEMO Pad 8’s touch screen is so sensitive that you can scribble notes with a pencil or pen and it supports palm rejection, this is the first tablet in the market we’ve seen with such capability.

See what we’ve discovered here? The ASUS MEMO Pad 8 supports multi window in ZenUI and it’s automatically knows which app you wants to have it split.

On the other hand, the Fonepad 8 is powered by Intel’s Atom Z3530 1.33GHz 64-bit Quad-Core processor mated with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage (expandable with MicroSD). Since this is a Fonepad, you’ll be able to make phone calls with the device and it also accepts Dual SIM cards and supports DC-HSPA+ networks. The Fonepad 8 will have a standard 1280×800 resolution IPS display with anti-finger coating, 5MP/2MP main and front cameras, dual front firing speakers and up to 12 hours of continuous battery life.

Finally, here comes the exciting part, knowing ASUS’s reputation of pricing the Zenfones that affordable, the company has made both the MEMO Pad 8 and Fonepad 8 extremely affordable as well this time. The MEMO Pad 8 will be available in Black, White, Red and Gold color options and retails at RM1099, the Fonepad 8 FE380CG will have the same color options and retails at RM649.
