As if the telco competition is starting to cool down, Digi has introduced two new high quota broadband plans for the mass market, starting from RM145/month with 50GB of quota, up to RM185/month with 100GB of quota, this is currently the highest quota broadband plan ever offered by any Malaysian telcos, also a great initiative for being the Widest 4G LTE network in Malaysia. But here’s the catch, the quota of these plans are actually being splitted into two 30/70 for peak and non-peak sessions, so if you are thinking to subscribe to them for downloading your torrents, you had better make sure that your downloads are running while you are asleep.

For existing Digi Postpaid subscribers, the telco is offering a 5% rebate on two of its plans for 6 months and a huge discount is also given on its MobiFi 4G MiFi device, which can connect up to 10 devices over WiFI 802.11ac with a rather huge 3000mAh battery, this is a rather attractive MiFi device if you are thinking to use it for long road trips with multiple devices or users. “What we want is to enrich the lives of our customers and enable them to utilise the internet consistently. With these new broadband plans coupled with our widest 4G LTE and 4G LTE-A coverage, we are set to take on the rising need for internet access, enabling our customers to constantly be ‘online’ while at work or play,” said Praveen Rajan, Digi’s Head of Postpaid & Digital Services.

Digi has been actively expanding its service coverage throughout the nation, the telco kicked-off its #DigiWeWant4GLTE Twitter campaign last year in order to understand the demand of 4G LTE coverage across the nation, at this point of time the telco has over 31% of LTE-A coverage and is working on to implement VoLTE and VoWiFi technologies that significantly improves voice call quality.
