Unlike both the iPhone and the iPads, there are no drastic announcements for the Apple Watch. What Apple has announced for the smartwatches are new bands, as well as a new starting price.
New to the Apple Watch is the Woven Nylon band. As the name implies, the band is made out of Nylon and would come in various different colours. Aside from the Nylon band, Apple has also announced that the pre-existing Sport variant of the Apple Watch will be receiving some new colours soon. The Milanese Loop band will also be receiving a new colour in the form of Space Black.
Thanks to the introduction of the Woven Nylon band, the Apple Watch will now have a starting price of USD 299 (RM 1,213) for the 38 mm Nylon band variant. As of now, Apple has yet to clarify if there will be a price drop for the other Apple Watch variants, but assuming there isn’t a price drop for them, that would make the Nylon band the ‘entry level’ Apple Watch.
