Apple reveals tvOS 9.2 and iOS 9.3, will be released later today

Hardware aren’t the only things that took the spotlight at Apple’s event as the company reveals that they will be updating tvOS and iOS today.

For those of you who own the Apple TV media player, Apple will be launching tvOS 9.2 later today. This update will bring a slew of new features to Apple TV such as Siri voice dictation which allows you to browse the App Store via voice. tvOS 9.2 will also feature iCloud Photo Library, allowing you to finally access all of the images you’ve uploaded the Apple’s cloud and display it on the big screen.

The other big software update is iOS 9.3. Available later today, iOS 9.3 comes with a ton of new features for a seemingly incremental update. One of the newest features for iOS 9.3 is the F.lux-inspired Night Shift. This tool works by automatically reducing the amount of blue light emitting from the screen depending on the time and location of the device.

Apple will also be making some improvements to the Notes app. Aside from multi-user support, Notes can now be password protected and unlocked using Touch ID. The News app has also been improved upon with a ‘For You’ section that displays news based on your interests, suggestions and trending topics. Other minor improvements have also been made to Apple Health and CarPlay, with the former finally receiving Apple Watch integration.
