Sick of uploading your great video production at only 30 fps (frames per second) when you’ve filmed it over that standard frame rate? Fret not, because YouTube has just announced that it will finally support playing videos at 60 fps, which we ourselves will be able to do so in our next video since we usually shoot our RAW videos in 50 fps with our Handycam.

Having a faster frame rate on videos not only mean you can upload that beautiful video footage you’ve shot with your camera, as gameplay streaming gets popular in these days, having supported a higher frame rate on YouTube makes a lot of sense since the video streaming platform is still the most used and popular video streaming service in the world. What’s even better, this also means that we’ll be able to stream movies in 60 fps if they are available on YouTube one day. But seriously, YouTube has really taken long time to get there.

We are also happy to report that 60 fps works even up to 4K videos, which you can find in the embedded video up above, it’s really beautiful to finally see that high frame rate work especially when it is a streaming video. So folks, stay tuned for more smooth frame rate videos from us on YouTube, and remember to try out this feature if you have any 60 fps videos around your hard drive.
