Yes, you aren’t reading the title wrongly, WD has just announced their new 8TB hard drives for your never ending desire for more storage, however the new 8TB hard drives are now available on WD’s enterprise grade storage product, including WD Red, WD Red Pro and WD Purple, each of them offering purpose-driven engineering and HelioSeal helium technology for maximum and efficient performance in their own applications. The 8TB storage isn’t just only available to the company’s hard drives, as WD has also intended to offer both 8TB or 16TB (two 8TB drives in RAID 0) capacity to other storage products such as My Book/My Book for Mac, My Book Duo/My Book Pro, My Cloud/My Cloud Mirror and My Cloud EX2 Ultra.
