A roadmap has leaked, and on it are information about the ETA of Android Marshmallow updates heading to Samsung’s Galaxy line. The leaked roadmap comes from the folks at Phone Arena. Whether or not it can be trust still remains to be seen. However, leaks will still get people to go sniffing around them, hence the reason why we’re bringing you this one.

It’s good news for Samsung flagship users as Samsung’s top of the line mobile devices are included in the list, with last year’s top handsets receiving Samsung’s improved TouchWiz UI on top of Android Marshmallow by the end of March. Here’s the “priority list” according to the image by Phone Arena:

  • Samsung Galaxy Note 5 – March 2016
  • Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ – March 2016
  • Samsung Galaxy S6 – March 2016
  • Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge – March 2016
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 4 – April 2016
  • Samsung Galaxy Note Edge – April 2016
  • Samsung Galaxy S5 – May 2016
  • Samsung Galaxy Alpha – June 2016
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8″ – May 2016
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7″ – May 2016

One thing to note is Samsung Galaxy Alpha users will also be receiving updates, alongside the S5, Note 4 and Note Edge, all of which will get updates by June. Both the 8-inch and 9.7 inch Tab S2’s will receive Marshmallow some time in May. Below the list, we get a slight peek of what seems to be the Galaxy A7 (2016), which tells us that Samsung’s Galaxy mid rangers will most likely be getting Android Marshmallow after the ETA of the above list.

The legitimacy of the roadmap can’t be confirmed, so do take the information with a huge grain of salt. But let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best. Till then, stay tuned and leave us your comments below!
