Just a little over a month after the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge at MWC, it seems like Samsung can’t wait any longer to announce yet another flagship device, said to be unveiled today, months before the expected Galaxy Note 5. The Korean manufacturer has announced on its official Twitter account late last night:
“Something big is coming tomorrow. #TheNextGalaxy”
The tweet is accompanied by a GIF, tracing out a figure 8, which tells us that Samsung will be surprising us with what might possibly be the Galaxy S8 some time today. If you still haven’t gotten the hang of it, it’s highly likely that this is the company’s attempt on an April Fool’s Prank, and if you still aren’t aware, today is indeed April Fool’s Day. This prank doesn’t come as a surprise since many brands out there, with Google being the notable one, have all kinds of pranks disguised in product or service announcements on the 1st of April.
On another note, we can never be sure that the tweet by Samsung is truly an April Fool’s prank. The tweet ends with a VR emoji, and the GIF which was said tracing a figure 8 can resemble a shape of a VR headset. Maybe it isn’t a prank at all and we might be looking at a Galaxy headset by Samsung but the uncertainty is real, so stay tuned!
