Bring your mind games to the next level on Facebook’s Messenger with Chess. Yes, Facebook has a chess game embedded in Messenger for you to break the ice with your crushes.
Just by typing in “@fbchess play”, a chess board will appear in the conversation indicating the start of a chess game. However, players can’t make their chess moves with their mouse, neither is it touchscreen friendly. Instead, players will have to type in commands like “fbchess e4” to get the game going, which might be a learning curve to amateur and casual chess players. Not to worry, typing in “@fbchess help” will provide you with the full list of commands for the chess game.
While it might take a little longer than usual to make your chess moves, this is certainly a cool easter egg of some sort that Facebook has provided in Messenger. What’s next? Monopoly?
