More file formats supported on Google Sheets and Google Slides

There are more reasons to use Google Sheets and Google Slides, following an update that is currently rolling out for both the apps. Thanks to the latest update, Google Sheets now allow users to save files in the added CSV and TSV extension formats whereas on Google Slides, files can be saved and exported to JPEG, PNG or SVG extensions. These new formats can be found just like before, at the “Share & Export: Save As” menu.

You can now view Google Drawings in spreadsheets in the Google Sheets app, but Drawings won’t be visible in frozen rows and columns. Google Slides has also added a handy feature, whereby it auto-suggests the name of your presentation (according to your title on the first slide) when you touch the Overflow button. In that case, you won’t be having your presentation slides named as “Untitled”, “Untitled 1” and so forth.

The updates are rolling out to the Play Store as we speak, so be patient, unless you’d like to download the APK files elsewhere. Till then, stay tuned!
