The Surface Pro 3is an extremely high end tablet that is powered by 4th Gen Intel Core processors, SSD storage and up to 8GB of RAM. The newtablet from Microsoft also features a more solid and flexible kickstand that lets you use the device in any angle, in which you no longer need to worry about cramped space to place your tablet on.

The tablet weighs a mere 800 grams, it has a 12” clear type display with a whooping 2160 x 1440 resolution, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11ac, a USB 3.0 port, MicroSD slot, 5 Megapixel main camera and boasts a respectable battery life of up to 9 hours. Thetablet also features a According to a user survey from Microsoft around the world, the company has found out that most people carry two devices when they are on the go, they want to view and create content but unable to do so with current devices, the Surface Pro 3’s intends to let you do that with its lightweight and flexible design, it runs on Windows 8.1 which you are able to run any full blown Windows programs or even touch screen optimized apps.

Of course, Microsoft claims that they are not creating a war between their Windows OEM partners, they simply want to set a standard for many to follow on how a great Windows hardware can be manufactured, which is in a way similar to how Google manufactures Nexus devices for other Android OEMs to follow suit. The Surface Pro 3 is an incredible piece of hardware when we used it, it is a much more refined product than its predecessors and we certainly can’t wait to get our hands on one for a review. Heck, it is so impressive that it makes our iPad Air feels really underpowered.

Lastly, let’s not forget that this is a product running on a full fledge PC operating system with powerful PC components onboard, therefore the Surface Pro 3’s price isn’t as cheap as an Android tablet or iPad if your definition of a tablet is simply a device that runs your apps. The Surface Pro 3 retails from RM2,729 for a base configuration of Core i3/4GB RAM/64GB SSD up to RM6,779 for the top of the line configuration Core i7/8GB RAM/512GB SSD.
