Somehow smartwatches have become not just a convenient device, but instead a luxury item that can even rival designer timepieces. Meet the latest luxury from LG that seems more like a jewellery than a smartwatch – the LG Watch Urbane Luxe Smartwatch.
This latest limited edition wearable from LG sports an alligator leather strap, and 23-karat gold elements that gives it an instant designer feel although on the inside, is actually still the same LG Watch Urbane vanilla model. Just like the original version, this luxury model also sports a round 1.3-inch OLED display and runs on the same Android Wear software. It is rather eye-catching though; it even comes in an exclusive premium-looking lacquered box.
Now, only 500 of these special leather and gold smartwatch are made, in partnership with Reeds Jewelers in America. It costs a pretty penny of $1,200, which is still not too bad if you’re comparing to the crazy price of the $10,000 Apple Watch Edition.
