Early this month, we’ve seen the arrival of the Lenovo Vibe X3 and the K4 Note to Malaysian shores alongside Lenovo’s own VR headset, the ANTVR. However, both the Vibe X3 and the K4 Note both still run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box, and it seems that the predecessor of the K4 Note has a Marshmallow update rolling out as we speak.
Lenovo India has taken the announcement of the Marshmallow rollout to its Twitter account:
“The wait is now over! K3 Note users will soon get the @Android Marshmallow update & TheaterMax support :)”
Apart from the receiving the Marshmallow update ahead of the K4 Note, the K3 Note will also receive TheaterMax support like its successor, meaning that the handset will support VR natively, well matched with the RM99 ANTVR headset by Lenovo.
