Razer, leader gaming peripherals and software manufacture, and Telecom T1 (SKT), one of the world’s most respected League of Legends teams, took pride in the first-place finish at the League of Legends: 2015 World Championship. With a glorious winning streak of its first 14 games, they finished it off with a 15-1 in the ultimate tournament which is now in its fifth season.

Throughout October this year, the games for Season 5 was happening across Europe. The Razer-sponsored organisation started 6-0 in Group C against Edward Gaming, H2k-Gaming and Bangkok Titans in Paris, progressing to the Knockout Stage going against both ahq in London and Origen, Brussels. All of that lead to the finals with KOO Tigers at the packed Mercedes-Benz Arena in berlin. They took the best-five-series 3-1.

Razer’s world-renowned gaming peripherals were donned by SKT players taking over the competition which includes Razer DeathAdder mouse, Razer BlackWidow mechanical keyboard, Razer Carcharias headset and Razer Goliathus mouse mat.

Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder and CEO said, “SKT’s performance has been mind-blowing.” “This has been the most dominant eSports run we’ve seen, and it came on the biggest stage possible. We’re honored to work with SKT and proud that they choose to use Razer products.”

Revered 19-year-old Lee “Faker” Sang-Hyeok, widely considered to be the greatest League of Legends player of all time, plays for SKT. “The Michael Jordan of eSports” was the term by the RIOT Vice President of eSports Dustin Beck. Faker is in the eyes of thousands of adoring fans globally. Faker was also recently featured on the national news in Korea proving the extent of his fame.

League of Legends community knows SKT as a force in the community for quite a while. They once won $1,000,000 at the Season 3 World Championship which was audienced by 32 million individuals around the world. The Season 5 figures should have surpassed that.

Team Razer sponsors 27 professional eSports teams and 260 players in 31 countries globally, SKT being one of them. Last year alone, more than $4 million prize money has been earned with about 280 podium finishes. Two of five League of Legends World Championships has Razer-sponsored teams on their throne.
