Famous YouTuber PewDiePie has made history as the first ever channel to hit a whopping 50 million subscribers since the video sharing site was founded more than ten years ago in 2005. Also known as Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg in real life, PewDiePie has claimed earlier that he will be deleting his YouTube channel when he exceeds 50 million subscribers, but it turns out that Kjellberg did and did not delete his channel after hitting that milestone.

Kjellberg has allegedly deleted his other channel that goes with the name JackSepticeye2 instead. His main PewDiePie channel is still running as per usual. Who in the right mind would delete his channel after making history, and being the most subscribed YouTuber of all time? Well let’s just say that PewDiePie kind of kept his word, or not. The reason behind his previous claim to delete his channel was his frustration at YouTube for being ignorant at content creators, claiming that his subscribers have been unsubscribed from his channel without a reason. Other content creators are facing the same phenemenon as well.

While Kjellberg and several other fellow YouTube stars have been critical of the video sharing platform lately, Kjellberg still came out as the highest paid YouTube star of 2016, raking in $15 million (RM66.35 million) in earnings. Are you a subscriber of PewDiePie’s channel?
