It still feels really weird that the Lumia branding doesn’t have a Nokia name in front of it, but we’ll get used to it very soon, Microsoft has introduced the Lumia 535, clearly an entry level smartphone for the budget conscious consumers. At $140 (approx. RM435), Microsoft gives you 5-inch 960 x 540 resolution display, 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 Quad-Core processor, 1GB RAM and dual 5 Megapixel cameras.

Given such hardware features, the Lumia 535 will sit between the Lumia 530 and Lumia 630, while it has a better display than the duo however it lacks LTE connectivity. The Lumia 535 will come with Nokia’s usual interchangeable back covers which consumers will be able to purchase as an accessory. The Lumia 535 comes with 8GB of internal storage expandable up to 128GB while Microsoft is giving away 15GB of OneDrive storage, the phone will also come preloaded with Windows 8.1 and the Lumia Denim update.

Expect the phone to arrive locally soon as Microsoft has targeted Asian markets to sell the phone.
