Huawei has already released its 2016 lineup for their Honor and Mate line. Next up on the list is the P9 as it has an estimated launch date of April 6th. However, it seems that the specifications for the P9 has already been leaked by Oppomart, and it shows that the P9 will have three different variants: the P9, the P9 Max and the P9 Lite.
The P9 Lite, as the name implies, is the affordable version of the P9. The phone itself comes with a 5″ Full HD screen, a Snapdragon 650 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage space. The battery on the P9 Lite is slightly smaller too, as it has a 2,500 mAh battery. It will retail for USD 299 (RM 1218).
A step up from the P9 Lite is the P9. This phone features a 5.2″ Full HD screen, a Kirin 950 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage space. The P9 would also feature a 3,000 mAh battery. It has an expected retail price of USD 499 (RM 2034).
Finally, we have the P9 Max, the most powerful variant of the P9. This variant comes with a 6.2″ WQHD (2560×1440) screen, a Kirin 955 processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space. Much like the P9, the P9 Max comes with a 3,000 mAh battery. The P9 Max is expected to retail for USD 699 (RM 2849).
While the performance P9 varies according to its configuration, these three phones do share some features. For one, the P9s will all feature a dual 12MP rear camera with OIS and laser focus. The P9s will also support 4G FDD-LTE connectivity and will feature a dual SIM tray. All P9s will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with Huawei’s own Emotion UI skin layered on top of it.
