An alleged Huawei P9 was spotted in the public, held by a person who is said to be from Huawei itself. The image of the person holding up a never seen before handset to his ear has surfaced up on various Chinese sites. It didn’t take long before Android enthusiasts realized that the smartphone being held by the man was the yet to be released Huawei P9. The image was said to be captured at some eatery, while the owner was spotted having his lunch.

Still, no one dared to fully guarantee that it was the Huawei P9 out in the wild. Nevertheless, the rumored P9 in the image shows a dual-camera setup just as rumored, alongside a dual-LED flash and what seems to be a laser auto-focus unit sitting right below it. Also seen in the image is a rear fingerprint sensor for the handset. The P9 seems to sport a metal chassis, similar to that of the P8.

We will be expecting three variants of the Huawei P9 to be launched Huawei’s London event on the 6th of next month, which will most likely be the P9 Lite, the P9 and the P9 Max. The standard P9 is rumored to feature a 5.2 inch 1080p display, Huawei’s high end HiSilicon Kirin 950 processor, alongside 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with a 3,000mAh battery. The Lite version is said to sport a smaller 5 inch display, a Snapdragon 650 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage while the Max version is tipped to have a huge 6.2 inch WQHD display, a Kirin 955 SoC, 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage.

With just a little more than two weeks away from Huawei’s event, we will most likely be seeing more leaks like this up on the world wide web. Those rumored specs are highly possible, if not probable. What do you think about the upcoming Huawei P9? Let us know what you think!
