GoPro unveils its new line up of HERO4 action cameras

We recently found out a leak of GoPro’s upcoming budget camera, and it has finally come to light. In fact, GoPro has announced three new devices which now you’ll be able to buy one depending on your budget.

The new budget GoPro is not called the 2014 Edition, but simply called the HERO, it records Full HD video at 30 fps and 720p video at 60 fps while offering what an action camera should have – rugged and waterproof design, this entry level GoPro will cost a mere $129 (approx. RM400 after taxes), anyone should be able to own a GoPro now.

There’s also a mid-range model called the HERO4 Silver that comes with a built-in touch display, it shoots 2.7K resolution videos at 30 fps, Full HD at 60fps and 720p at 120fps, it can even take magazine quality photo with its 12 Megapixel camera, the HERO4 Silver will also have 50% faster WiFi connectivity and improved power management compared to previous models. The HERO4 Silver will retail at $399 (approx. RM1,300 after taxes), around the same price with the current HERO3+.

The flagship HERO4 Black will have similar features to the HERO4 Silver, except that it will be able to shoot 4K footage at 30fps and being able to extract 8.3 megapixel video stills as photos while recording, frame rates on other resolutions are also higher and you’ll be able to create burst shots as fast as 30 photos per second with its 12 Megapixel camera. The HERO4 Black will retail at $499 (approx. RM1,600 after taxes).

The new GoPro HERO4 line ups will be available on October 5, expect a local launch after a few weeks.
