Much like any successful franchise, it was only a matter of time until a God of War 4 comes out. Now, rumours surrounding the game has been leaked and it seems that Sony is changing up the series in a rather big way.

So far, what we do know is that God Of War 4 will not be returning to Olympus. For the next installment in the franchise, Sony is looking to build the game around Norse Mythology. A tweet by Shinobi602, who is a known insider, has since published a tweet that reinforces the leak.
Further digging by NerdLeaks revealed a portfolio of Finnian MacManus, who was a concept artist that worked at SIE Santa Monica Studio from September 2015 to December 2015. By going through MacManus’ website, NerdLeaks managed to discover a bunch of concept art that is presumed to be from God Of War 4.
An interesting note to point out is that the concept art states that the playable character would be Kratos. Of course, as the game has yet to be officially announced, Sony may decide to use Kratos as a placeholder for now before switching to a different character.
In any case, it would be interesting to see if Sony would reveal more about God Of War 4 during this year’s E3. Seeing as Sony is rumoured to be developing the PlayStation 4K, we wouldn’t be surprised to find out that GoW4 would be a launch title for Sony’s updated console.
