Galaxy S7 Active listed in Google Play Store

Samsung has accidentally listed a yet-to-exist Galaxy S7 Active in the list of supported devices for its Samsung Level app on Google Play Store, and it has probably remained uncorrected, or not removed as we speak.

The fact that the device is listed out there proves that there will be a Galaxy S7 Active, although Samsung has brought back dustproof and waterproof features to its S7 line recently unveiled and launched at MWC last month. Last year’s Galaxy S6 saw an absence of an IP rating, a somewhat step backwards from the Galaxy S5’s IP67 rating. The Galaxy S7 returned with an IP68 rating, on top another missing from the S6 – micro SD expansion.

The Active variants of the Galaxy S series started of in 2013, with an Active version of the Galaxy S4. Active variants are known for their rugged build, water and dust resistance. Since the Galaxy S7 already comes with an IP68 rating, chances are that the Galaxy S7 Active will come with an even higher IP rating, or added ruggedness to achieve near indestructibility. It will probably come packed with a massive battery capacity, another known feature of the Active lineup. What’s your bet on the existence of the Galaxy S7 Active?
