Five executives will be leaving Twitter and Vine soon

It seems that Twitter will be in for a bumpy ride ahead as the four executives from the company as well as one executive from Vine will be leaving soon.

This mass exodus of sorts is suspected to stem from the company’s declining share value. Currently, Twitter shares are trading at just USD 17.84, which is an all-time low and less than half the company’s original share price. Dorsey has since attempted to buoy investor confidence by introducing new features to the micro-blogging service as well as slashing 8% of the company’s workforce. As evident by its share prices, this steps weren’t enough to turn around Twitter’s ailing fortunes.

Those that will be departing from Twitter include head of product Kevin Weil, head of media Katie Jacobs Stanton, head of engineering Alex Roetter, and head of HR Skip Schipper. Vine executive Jason Toff will also be leaving the company so that he could return to Google to work on virtual reality related projects.

If Re/code is to be believed, some of the departures were not made willingly by the executives themselves. The website has also noted that further departures are to be expected from the company. While five executives will be leaving the company, a new CMO and a new head of PR is expected to join the company soon. Whatever the case, it seems that Twitter is in for a bumpy road ahead.
