There are times where you just simply can’t access multiple deal sites at the same time, not able to find the right platform to list your business or sell off something for fast cash, then FINDIT is a service that you should definitely check out, it combines both local deals, businesses and classifieds in one single app that will benefit both businesses and users. Simply put, you no longer need a separate application for finding out the best deals in town or even listing your business.

The app is available on both iOS and Android devices at this point of time, it detects the user’s approximate location and shows nearby business listing and deals to the user, while at the same time, the user can also post up an advertisement or list a business in the platform with a simple three step procedure, which includes entering your contact details, product information and uploading pictures, the posting will be administered and monitored by FINDIT so other users need not be afraid of fraud purchases.

In terms of technicality, FINDIT acts as referral service for businesses such as Groupon, once the user gets referred to the deal site and clicks on the purchase button, the service will receive a profit cut from the merchant and it has not been disclosed to us how much percentage the company will take. Our initial test and first impression of the service itself is decent, the app does what it is supposed to do however its location context-aware will be improved over time while the company’s Head of Marketing and Products have promised more features are coming to the service by the end of this month.

To promote the service, FINDIT is running its “Where in the world is Walter Woo?” contest on March 21 2015, which consumers will be required to look out for the fictitious Walter Woo and the company will be giving away 9 units of iPhone 6 128GB, the contest will only be available in Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru and Penang. Users will need to download the FINDIT app on their smartphones and tablets, find out the clues of Walter Woo’s location at FINDIT’s Facebook page, then upload a photo of where they think Walter Woo could be using the ‘photo contest’ function of the app.

If you want to check out the app itself, do head on to the source link to find out how it works for you and remember to stay tuned to FINDIT’s Facebook page for more contest details.
