CES 2016 : Lenovo refreshes its ThinkPad line for 2016

Lenovo’s line of computers, ranging from the Thinkpad to the Yoga, is receiving a refresh for the new year, with most of the new devices available on the CES showfloor.

First on the list of Lenovo’s refreshes is the ThinkPad X1 Yoga. Measuring in at 0.66 inches and 2.8 pounds, the X1 Yoga is the world’s first convertible laptop that features an optional Samsung OLED display. The keyboard on the X1 Yoga retracts its keys in tablet mode and comes with an active pen that is house and charged inside the laptop itself for highlighting and writing notes directly on Microsoft’s Edge browser. The ThinkPad X1 Yoga will be available sometime this month with a starting price of USD 1,449. The OLED models will be launched in April. 

The ThinkPad X1 Carbon has also been updated for 2016. Lenovo has listened to customer feedback and have made a number of improvements such as more display options, increased memory and storage capacity. Despite the improvements made to the X1 Carbon, the laptop still manages to be thinner and lighter than many other business ultrabooks, weighing it at just 2.6 pounds. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon is currently scheduled for a February launch and is expected to retail from USD 1,299.

Also a part of the ThinkPad line is he ThinkPad X1 Tablet. Featuring a modular design, the ThinkPad offers additional functionally through simple clip-on optional modules. Need more battery? The Productivity Module is able to increase the X1 Tablet’s lifespan for up to 15 hours total. Need a projector? The X1 Tablet comes with a Presenter Module that includes a pico projector and a HDMI port. Besides modules, the X1 Tablet comes with a full size ThinkPad keyboard that includes the iconic TrackPoint.

Desktop workers were not neglected as Lenovo introduces the ThinkCentre X1 AIO. The ThinkCentre X1 is an All-In-One that features an ultra-thin 11mm frame, making it one of the world’s thinnest desktops. The 23.8-inch screen of the ThinkCentre X1 comes with a premium anti-glare displays that offers a bright picture regardless of viewing angle. It is also designed to withstand dust build up.
