Acer has plenty to show at Las Vegas as the Taiwanese-company brought laptops and monitors to CES 2016.

Two new series of monitors by Acer are available at the CES showfloor. These are the Acer R1 series, and the Acer H7 series. The Acer R1 series of monitors features ultra-thin enclosures that measure under 7mm. This “ZeroFrame”design maximizes the view while minimising visual clutter with a bezel so thin that it is hardly noticeable, perfect for multi-monitor setups. The R1 boasts a Full HD resolution and will be available in 21.5, 23, 23.8, 25 and 27-inch screen sizes.

On the other hand, the Acer H7 series of monitors are the world’s first monitors to support USB Type-C, allowing users to conveniently transfer data and display content from notebooks or smartphones, all while charging them at the same time. Like the R1, the H7 features the “ZeroFrame” design, and comes with a diamond-cut and brushed-metal stand. The H7 monitors boasts a WQHD (2560 x 1440) display resolution and is offered in 25-inch and 27-inch resolutions.

Besides monitors, Acer has introduced a new entry into the TravelMate series of laptops. The TravelMate P648 commercial notebook is built upon the Red Dot Award-winning TravelMate P645. The P648 features a carbon and glass fiber lid with the palm rest and bottom cover being made from magnesium-aluminiumm allowing the notebook to withstand the rigors of frequent travel. Despite the material used to construct it, the P648 weighs only 1.7kg and is 2.12cm thin. Powering the P648 is a 6th Generation Intel Core processor and a 512MB SSD. It is also the first laptop to come with a Qualcomm Atheros 802.11ad multi-band wireless connectivity for networking and up to 8 hours of battery life. If this seems inadequate, the laptop comes in multiple configuration to meet a range of budgets.

Finally, Acer has updated its “Black Edition”Aspire V Nitro notebooks with Intel RealSense technology. Available on both the 15-inch and 17-inch versions, the Intel RealSense Camera offers an improved sensing range of up to 1.5 meters from the device and more precise gesture tracking, control and object recognition. The implementation of the RealSense camera allows owners of the new Aspire V Nitro to make use of Windows 10’s biometric system, Windows Hello. Besides the inclusion of the camera, the Aspire V Nitro Series is still the same powerful gaming laptop that many loved, featuring a 6th Generation Intel Core processor, an Nvidia GeForce GTX960M graphics card with up to 4GB of GDDR5 graphics RAM, and a lightning fast NVMe PCIe SSD.
