If you are one who enjoy the great outdoors but scared of getting your precious camera all banged up, then check out the latest outdoor camera from Casio. Dubbed as EXILIM EX-FR100, this point-and-shoot camera is outdoor-ready just like its EXILIM EX-FR10 predecessor.

The EXILIM EX-FR100 features a rugged design with shock, water and dust resistance, with the ability to be operated single-handedly. The FR100 retains the detachable design which enables users to attach the camera module to virtually anywhere via an assortment of aftermarket accessories, and use the controller remotely to capture truly unique angles of photography. Equipped with a new 16mm ultra wide-angle lens, the FR100 is equally adept at taking selfies, large group photos, as well as landscape photography while traveling or during outdoor activities.

One of the highlighted features of this camera is the new Intelligent Interval feature, designed for enhanced hands-free shooting while on-the-go. Casio has incorporated the EXILIM high-speed HS3 engine, sensing technology, and image analysis, and together with the Intelligent Interval feature, you can select and save photos taken at high-speed continous shooting without much blur and slant.

You can also share your experiences with video montages using the Highlight Movie function in the camera. By doing this, you don’t need to have fancy software to edit your videos on your computer, but instead using the built-in software to select both your photos and videos to create a show-reel. This video montage can then be sent via Bluetooth and EXILIM Auto Transfer to your smart device, which can then be uploaded to social media.

Need accessories? Casio has also launched new accessories to go with your new camera, depending on your usage preference. The marine case (EAM-5) is waterproof for depths of up to 20-meters, and is even backward compatible with the EXILIM EX-FR10. The antenna cable set (EAM-6) is a specialized underwater viewing device, so you can view marine life from the surface. An LED ring flash attachment (EAM-7) enables you to take images while in low-light conditions, while other accessories include the tripod mount (EAM-1), multi-angle clip (EAM-2) and a multi-angle belt clip (EAM-3).

Priced at RM 2,149 (Updated Price: RM 2,199), the Casio EXILIM EX-FR100 will be available in Malaysia on February 2016 onwards. Available in yellow, white and black colors, and bundled with carabineer clip attachment and tripod nut accessories.
