Its here finally, after a long way back from IFA 2015, Acer has finally brought in its Predator gaming products into Malaysia just before closing the year, a perfect moment for gamers who are looking to buy gaming products for this festive season or new year. The announced products are the Predator 15 and 17 notebooks, Predator 8 gaming tablet, Predator G6 and G3 gaming desktop.
Acer Predator 15 and 17 Gaming Notebooks
The Predator 15 and 17 notebook is Acer’s attempt to re-enter the gaming notebook scene as the company sees a growing demand for gaming notebooks locally, available in two screen sizes, the new Predator notebooks sport 6th generation Intel Core processors, DDR4 memory and top of the line NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics. Acer has specifically emphasized on the notebook’s cooling system, Predator FrostCore, which features a swappable Cooler Master fan module that enables to notebook to perform at even lower temperatures by slotting it into the optical drive slot. On top of that, the Predator notebooks are also fitted with Killer DoubleShot wireless and gigabit LAN for network bandwidth efficiency in games, and its Predator Soundpound feature delivers an immersive listening experience to its four built-in speakers and dual subwoofers with Sound Blaster X-Fi and Dolby Audio surround sound.
Acer Predator 8
As a gaming tablet, the Predator 8 definitely looks like one as it is fitted with an all aluminum metal chassis design that looks extremely premium to the touch, it is the first ever Android tablet to come powered with the Intel Atom x7 processor found on the Surface 3, the tablet has 2GB of RAM and 32GB of non-expandable storage, an 8-inch Full HD display, 5-megapixel main and 2-megapixel front cameras, and a 4420mAh battery. The Predator 8 tablet is also the first Android tablet to feature quad front facing speakers equipped with Dolby Surround, however the device unfortunately does not support 4G LTE connectivity.
Acer Predator G6 and G3 Desktop
If things were to get bigger, Acer has also announced powerful desktops to the table, the Predator G6 and G3 desktops are fitted with the latest 6th Generation Intel Core processors with NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics, the chassis of the Predator desktops isn’t just about beauty as it features Acer IceTunnel, an enhanced thermal system which optimizes airflow by efficiently bringing out internal heat of the system. Acer has also featured “One-Punch Overclocking” that unleashes the full potential of the Predator desktops, which is great for gamers who simply want to get the most of their gaming rigs without the need to have overclocking knowledge.
