AMD Releases A8-7670K Desktop APU

AMD released the newest budget socket FM2+ APU – AMD A8-7670K, which based on the company’s new 28 nm “Godavari” silicon. The CPU combines a quad-core x86-64 CPU based on the “Excavator” micro-architecture, with an integrated Radeon R7 series graphics core that features six Graphic CoreNext 1.2 compute units amounting to 384 stream processors and a dual-channel DDR3 integrated memory controller that capable support to DDR3-2133 MHz memory and a PCI-Express GEN 3.0 root complex.

The AMD A8-7670K are clocked at 3.60 GHz that have a maximum TurboCore frequency of 3.90 GHz. Besides that, the CPU features unlocked base clock multipliers that allow CPU overclocking. The four CPU cores are spread across two “Excavator” modules, with a total of 4 MB of cache between them. The GPU is clocked at 757 MHz and offers native support for DirectX 12 (feature level 12_0), it offers Dual-Graphics support that allows you pair it with select discrete GPUs from AMD’s lineup. With this GPU capability, you are still able to play a few games like Dota 2, CS: GO and triple-A games with low or medium settings.
