Since the Alcatel Flash 2, the Alcatel OneTouch brand is no more, the company has now continued to use its new but once popular branding to unveil three new devices over at Mobile World Congress 2016, the Idol 4 and Idol 4s are the company’s latest smartphones that comes with a premium metal and glass design, which looks very identical to…ehem…Samsung’s flagship. Well, at least they don’t come with any crackpot hardware onboard.

The Idol 4 has a 5.2-inch 1080p display and is powered by a Snapdragon 617 processor, the very same one found on the One A9 and it comes with 3GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage with MicroSD expansion, a 13-megapixel main camera and 8-megapixel front camera with an LED flash for low light selfies, a pair of stereo speakers and a 2610mAh battery. On the other hand, the Idol 4s gets a bigger 5.5-inch Quad HD display with an AMOLED panel, its processor is also a more powerful Snapdragon 652 SoC paired to 3GB of RAM, storage is doubled up to 32GB and its main camera gets a bump to 16-megapixels, battery size is also increased to 3000mAh to cope with the more powerful hardware. Both phones also feature a Xperia like round button on the side called the Boom key, it offers functionality such as launching the camera, boost audio output, change video playback options, and activates a pseudo 3D parallax effect for the phone’s launcher. The Idol 4 and Idol 4s will come preloaded with Android Marshmallow out of the box.

The Plus 10 is a 2-in-1 detachable Windows 10 device that sports a 10-inch IPS display with a 1280×800 resolution, it comes equipped with 32GB of storage and can be expanded via a MicroSD card, what makes it interesting is that the keyboard dock features a built-in LTE modem and can be served as a WiFi hotspot up to 15 users when required, the Plus 10 has a 8410mAh battery that will deliver 8 hours of usage, which is considerably reasonable for such devices.
