Taiwanese manufacturer Acer had a busy day at MWC 2016 as the company has launched its new Liquid Jade 2 flagship smartphone and the Liquid Zest smartphone.

Acer’s Liquid Jade 2 features a 5.5″ full-HD AMOLED display with a viewing angle of 176 degrees. The phone is shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass and comes with Zero Air Gap technology that the company claims will help improve readability under sunlight. The Liquid Jade 2 will be powered by a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor with an Adreno 418 GPU and 3GB of RAM. For the camera, the Liquid Jade 2 will have a 21MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, dual LED flash and 4K video recording support, while an 8MP camera is located at the front of the phone.

Perhaps the most interesting part of the Liquid Jade 2 has to be the storage. By itself, the smartphone will come with 32GB of storage. That said, the Liquid Jade 2 will integrate local storage with cloud stage, effectively giving it 1TB of hybrid storage. The pricing for this phone will be revealed at a later date.

The other phone from Acer is the Liquid Zest and its 4G variant, the Liquid Zest 4G. For the 3G variant of the Liquid Zest, it will feature a 5″ HD IPS display and will be powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor. It will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box and will also come with DTS Sound Studio. For the camera, the Liquid Zest packs an 8MP rear autofocus camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera. The Liquid Zest 4G is mostly the same as the 3G version, but it will sport a 1GHz quad-core processor and will feature DTS HD Premium Sound technology. The Liquid Zest and the Liquid Zest 4G will have a retail price of EUR 109 (RM 504) and EUR 149 (RM 690) respectively.
