4 months have passed since Microsoft Malaysia organized an intimate session to release their Lumia handsets to the wild, but just yesterday, Team KL Gadget Guy had the privilege of witnessing yet another launch of not one, not two but THREE Lumiahandsets! Read on to find out what happened in a little corner of KL today.
According to Bruce Howe, General Manager, Microsoft Mobile Devices Sales for Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei, “People are looking for a device which brings them more flexibility to switch easily between work and play, without breaking the bank.”
And that is exactly what the 3 devices are meant to accomplish – to strike a definitive balance between work, leisure and affordability.
#1 Lumia 640 – RM 739 (available 17 April)
Based on the Datasheet above, it is pretty self-explanatory that the Lumia640 is the next mid-range phone killer although not having a host of ground-breaking features, however, it does has a removable battery pack! Hence, if you are a heavy user and the 2,500 mAh battery pack seems a little tiny for you, do not fret – swap away! Besides that, nothing much to shout about as the phone has quite about standard features on any mid-range phone today.
#2 Lumia 640 XL – RM 929 (already available)
#3 Lumia 430 – RM 319 (availalbe end April 2015)
With that, this concludes the 3 devices that were launched today in a quaint little spot in KL. However, if you are still not convinced to prep your monies to throw at the salesperson at the retail store to get your hands on these awesome devices, it is definitely a point to note that these Microsoft Devices run on the Windows Phone 8.1 Denim out-of-the-box and is upgradeable to Windows Phone 10 when it gets released during the coming summer (June).
On top of that, from 1 April to 3o June, the Lumia 640 & Lumia 640 XL comes with a 1-year FREE subscription to Office 365 Personal, which includes the latest Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote) on the Lumia as well as on one PC or Mac and one tablet while also receiving an extra 1 TB of OneDrive Storage!
