YouTube addicts, rejoice! You can now watch YouTube videos offline on your mobile in Malaysia if your internet connection goes a little wonky. This latest feature is part of YouTube’s ongoing release of its ad supported offline feature on Android and iOS, also launched in other ASEAN countries like Indonesia, Philippines, and Vietnam, as well as other 80 countries worldwide.

This offline feature is only for the mobile YouTube app, and creators can make their videos available for you to view offline for 48 hours, in the case where you have low or no internet connectivity. For videos that have this feature available, all you need to do is tap on the offline icon, and voila! You can enjoy it for the next 48 hours.

According to John Harding, VP of Engineering at YouTube, they are trying to make YouTube more enjoyable for its growing base of mobile users in Malaysia. With this offline feature, they are hoping that people will be able to enjoy a smooth, buffer-free YouTube experience despite the challenges of data connection.
