We got an email titled “The wait for Xiaomi’s new product ends on July 22” and it is obviously one ultimate product that Mi Fans have been waiting for – the Xiaomi Mi Note, the true that everyone have been waiting for after seeing a number of mid-range devices this year.
Even though Xiaomi did not specifically mention the device, the EDM sent is already predictable as the background features a 2.5D curved glass backplate found on the Mi Note, in this case we could expect Mi Malaysia to bring in the standard variant Mi Note that comes with a Snapdragon 801 SoC with 3GB RAM. One of the key improvements that the Mi Note brings is its 13-megapixel optical image stabilization main camera and support for HiFi audio, it also has a bigger 5.7-inch display with a Full HD display.
If our guesses for next week is correct, Xiaomi should bring in the 16GB model of the Mi Note instead of the higher 64GB model, since the company sees lesser demand for higher storage demands on smartphones when we last spoke to them, but at the same time, we did rant to them about how 64GB is becoming a really common storage option for most users here, let’s hope Mi Malaysia listens and offer a higher storage capacity model of the phone here. Of course, we could also do with some Mi Note Pro teaser next week.
