It’s unbelievable that Xiaomi has been doing business in India for only one year. On the coming July 22nd, the company is celebrating its first anniversary in the country by making a number of product announcements and one of it might be a 32GB variant of the Xiaomi Mi 4i. On Facebook, Xiaomi India official page shows a matchstick puzzle that reveals Xiaomi’s intention to double the storage capacity of the phone.
Hugo Barra, Xiaomi VP had previously mentioned that the manufacturer would be hiking the amount of storage available on the Mi 4i. He also stated before that they will not include a microSD slot because it can lower the performance of a phone and the existing 16GB storage will only allow users to have 13GB of memory to use.
The Xiaomi Mi 4i is equipped with 64-bit Snapdragon 615 at 1.7 GHz CPU and Adreno 405 GPU alongside with 2GB of RAM. The phone features a 5-inch screen with 1920 x 1080 resolution and 3120 mAh battery. The camera at the front is rocking a 5MP and the back camera is 13MP. The phone support 4G LTE connectivity and Android 5.0 is pre-installed with MIUI 6 running on top.
Lucky for those who decided to wait for a 32GB version of the Xiaomi Mi 4i when the 16GB version was released. The price for the 32GB version haven’t been unveiled, so stay tuned for more future update.
